X-Way Universal Car Air Vent Mount Holder for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet - Secure & Adjustable Phone Stand for Safe Driving, Perfect for GPS Navigation & Hands-Free Calling

This review is just to provide information for those who are trying to use this mount for some equipment other than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.I was hoping to use this mount with my Magellan RoadMaster 1700 GPS. Unfortunately there wasn't enough information available about its dimensions so one has to order it just to find out know if it works with some other device. The unit is large enough to accommodate 10.1-inch table and the RoadMate is only 7 inch. There is a height adjustment but that's where the usability ends. This mount can't handle the slightly thicker RoadMate, and its fixed upper/lower hooks are completely blocking all connectors and switches on the RoadMate. Still it's a sturdy enough quality so I kept it and butchering it to be mated with the RoadMate's own original mounting bracket. I got nothing against this X-way item and its Vent Mount mechanism is simply the best I've seen. It's shares the common problem with so many other models, it's good only for a very specific application.I have tried Digitl Robust 360° Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 / Nexus 10 / Tab 10 Inch Adjustable Seat Bolt Car Mount which works great but I had to get the Digitl installed at the store because I do not have the necessary tools. I changed cars and I bought the X-way for my new car and this works really great. Compared to the other one, this version mounted closer to the eye level. I do not have any issues with motion during the drive. I had to fiddle with the mechanics, but once I figured it out, it was very easy. The installation is very quick and you don't need any additional tools. The only problem is that the mount installs on the vent, so I avoid turning on the heater to avoid over-heating my tablet. I don't mind it though because I turn on the heater directed at my feet instead. Also, there is a glare on the tablet because it gets the reflection from the windows and I did not have this problem with Digitl. So, I bought an anti-glare tablet cover, which I hope will work. I don't know why this product did not get more reviews, because personally I prefer this over the other one which I had originally bought because it got more reviews.There tends to be a slight drop to one side when in use but I suspect that's because the top left hook has a tendency to hit the volume controls on the tablet which necessitates using the mount at an offset. It's not a 'galaxy note' specific mount, it's a universal tablet mount so be aware of that limitation. That said it does hold the tablet well even if it does need occasional repositioning.I bought this for my ford Explorer 2010! The tablet fits perfectly with a little wiggle room for any case you may have. Only thing is my truck has a few buttons underneath the a.c vent so it occasionally presses a couple of the buttons. Pretty sturdy and reliable do recommend if no buttons are underneath the vent.I've bought a ton of tablet mounts over the years and this one I like the best. I don't have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, I have a Nook HD+ 8.9inch tablet and I bought this on a leap of faith. It worked perfectly. It holds my tablet in a comfortable viewing position that doesn't obstruct my view, it's easy to install and remove and is highly adjustable.In short this is the perfect tablet holder for me.my husband uses this to mount a tablet for the kids to watch movies during long car rides. It is simple enough for my 6 year old to put on and take off.Works as described, Using it everyday to hold my tablet as navigation when on the road. No need to buy a gps when you have this and a tablet. Awesome product.Its a project to fit this in the car and make it work. There are other products that are easy to use.Fits my Galaxy Tab 3 fine. Seems to be well made although the foot that rest on the bottom for support could be stronger. Well pleased with it as it fits both my cars.This holder fits perfectly in my Volvo S70 and the quality is real nice.The vent mount fits well and sits firm to the air vent.It's easy to disconnect the pad-holder from the vent mount when not in use.I live in Sweden and the estimated arrival date was oct 8th.I recieved the holder sept 29th. More than a week earlier! :o)In short: Couldn't be more pleased.Ich habe mir diese Halterung für mein Auto geholt, damit meine Freundin bei langen Fahrten Filme oder ähnliches anschauen kann.Leider ist mir beim Auspacken schon ein kleines abgebrochenes Teil entgegen gekommen. Ok, vielleicht ist dies beim Transport passiert, tat der Funktion auch keinen abbruch. Die Montage der Platte klappte ganz gut. Jetzt das große aber:Das Tablet wackelt im Auto hin und her, da einfach die Stütze unten zu klein ist. Diese hat auch keinen Grip auf der Armatur. Bei dem kleinsten Hügel auf der Straße ist das Tablet wieder verrutscht und es vibriert sehr stark.Man kann diese Halterung im Auto einfach nicht vernünftig nutzen. Der Preis ist mit 25,00€ auch viel zu hoch angesetzt.Ich vergebe einen zusätzlichen Stern für die Haltevorrichtung an sich, da das Tablet genau hineinpasst.La parte bloccaggio tablet robusto e rapido , la parte d'agancio al cruscotto troppo esile, porta troppe vibrazioni che portano al l'inclinazione del dispositivo. Non è possibile toccare troppo energicamente lo schermo , altrimenti ruota.Spedizione e consegna OkCe support se fixe en effet très facilement, sans avoir besoin d'outil. Il est formé de 2 supports. Le premier se fixe sur la grille (on appuie, on place et un ressort maintient le tout), le second se fixe sur le premier (on fait glisser l'arrière dans une fente du premier support) et permet de placer la tablette. Le second se règle automatiquement à la dimension de la tablette. On peut faire pivoter ce support jusqu'à ce qu'on trouve le bon angle de vision de la tablette.Le tout est démontable rapidement si on veut l'enlever. Personnellement je me contente d'enlever la tablette et de laisser la structure qui ne me gène absolument pas pour conduire ou régler la ventilation.Ce produit me satisfait totalement d'où ma note.
